I made her first Keiki Futon for my nephew, Henry, after seeing something similar at a friends house.

The inspiration was a padded floor mat for babies and children made with hawaiian fabrics, popular in Hawaii and Japan.

My design would be a little more practical and a lot more lovable. I wanted to give Henry something he and his parents would cherish for many years.

Henry just turned 4 and continues to love his futon. So does Liam and Avery -my other nephew and niece!

My hope is that you and your baby will coo and giggle, and when they begin to grow, you'll learn together, laugh together, and love together from your home base of a Keiki Kuku Futon.
